Civic Engagement Coordination Unit home-based in Izmir Institute of Technology is a unit working together with all the students, academic and administrative staff of IZTECH. Universities have a responsibility to offer students an education that will promote their judgment and their participation in society as democratic citizens. Civic Engagement Coordination Unit aims to enrich student life and challenge students to grow into responsible citizens of the world and seeks to broaden students’ worldviews, raise social, ethical, and cultural awareness through teamwork and community engagement.
